Couch is extremely well made…all fabric seams are straight and frame is solid. It is firm for seating but not unforgiving or uncomfortable..I feel it will hold up well. Fabric is a blue gray pillow ticking and high quality. I sprayed with Scotchgard but think spills would roll off anyway. I love the mid century vibes. I got this and the loveseat. The cushions are firm. I hope they stay that way. There is no neck support and the couch could slide a bit if it's on hardwood, so keep that in mind. I placed the couch against the wall to remedy the no neck and prevent sliding. This couch is exactly what I’d hoped for! It is the perfect size for my home office and the hideaway bed allows me to have an extra guest room when the need arises. It is firm, but comfortable to sit on. The mattress is decent as these kinds of beds go. I think I’ll add a foam pad for more comfort.
