It works. Mostly does what's expected. The add says it detects motion up to 50 feet. The best I can get out of it is 20 feet. I spent about 45 minutes adjusting the sensor position trying to get more distance, but was not successful. So I deducted one star for that.

I bought this to replace a defective sensor on a motion light located on the front of my garage. The defective sensor was from another manufacturer. The shape of the sensor is a bit different, more compact, than the original but much better made. Installation was fairly simple with the device being positioned correctly between the two spotlights. However, the difficulty came when trying to set the sensor range. This sensor is far more sensitive to motion than the original and took several tries before I could get it just right. Instructions state to have the light fixture mounted at least 12' high which considering the sensitivity it would be better to have the fixture higher than that. What happens when the fixture is at 12' feet is that it picks up even the slightest movement of the plants beside the driveway. At first, whenever the wind would blow, the light would come on and stay on for hours. Finally, I managed to get it positioned just right where although it does pick up some movement from landscaping it only stays on a short time. I gave it the four stars because it is so highly sensitive. Otherwise, this is a well made product. Easily installed and well made. Very sensitive and required some adjusting.
