These lighted post caps fit an actual 6x6 post. They are hard to find and I am pleased with them. They do have a soft light but I sure wish they came with a yellowish light like an Edison to match my other outdoor lighting.

Love these 7” wide solar lights. We removed old 6" top boards and replaced with 8" wide - 2" thick boards. Prepped & painted then added these two lights on ends. Since we attached to flat boards - not a post, we measured interior of base and cut 2 pieces of wood to anchor the solar light bases on the flat surface. One screw with a washer; mounted the black base, then finished with the top piece. Beautiful. Exactly what I wanted!

I purchased these lights last year for my back porch posts and they still work great. I bought more for my front porch

It is sturdy and made metal and glass, except for the bottom 6x6 attachment is plastic. It looks gorgeous on the fence post!
