Great little light. Simple and basic, it has a farmhouse look to it. I installed with the light upward-opposite of what is depicted in the product description. The finish is a matte black. The side switch on the light does function but I hard wired it to a wall switch so did not need to use it.

so worth the price to claim a truly vintage feel for an older structure. Simple in design, if you're not wanting to make as a focal point...
