Not a pure black finish. It’s a washed gray, so disappointing. The wood part looks like plywood with some striped green lines going through it, which makes it look cheap, which is surprising considering the price. Not as good looking as pics.

We are remodeling our attic and I purchased these lights to put above a table. Upon opening one of the two, we realized two things: The mounting bracket on one of the lights was loose and so the light cannot be affixed flush to the wall. It is missing parts to hold it. But, the other thing is that they do not look like the product pictured on the website. I chatted with a representative about this and was told I had to pay shipping to return them - even though they are defective and not the product that is advertised on their website and our contractor cannot install. They have lost a long-standing customer over 2 defective and lights that are not the same as shown on the website.

These sconces are ao authentic looking and really gives a great vibe to the wine cellar. Love them!!!
