Carlson 72'' Antique Brass Task Floor Lamp

Just as pictured...work with my elevated industrial styled space. They have complete height flexibility...could even be a desk lamp if you choose as the pole is in three sections. The only thing that I think would improve it is if there were a way to control the cord so it hangs straight...maybe a loop or weight at the base?

Perfect for our bedroom. It’d work in a traditional, modern, industrial, or even craftsman styled space. Exposed cord doesn’t bother us at all. Beautiful glow but would be excellent office small space task lighting. Very versatile.

What a cool design for a floor lamp! Since my husband and I have very different heights...he is 6’4 and I am 5’1, it is hard to find a floor lamp that works well for both of us. This lamp is very adjustable, and the wheel bolt that holds the shade position is both attractive and reliable. The gold tone of the shade is very matte, not shiny or brassy. The black tone on the base and post are also very matte and not shiny at all. The interior of the shade is bright white and reflects light beautifully. Because the shade is metal, it should be used primarily for task work or reading probably. The light is solely focused down, and not well distributed throughout the room. The design works well with cottage, industrial, and modern farmhouse styles. My husband rarely comments on the decor selections, but even he said “this is a great lamp!”. He loved how he had enough height on the floor lamp so it stayed above his shoulder when he sat. He also loved that the metal shade kept the light out of his eyes and on the page when he used it for reading. Overall, I am super pleased with this purchase!

If there were a way to feel comfortable anywhere, its found in the design of this floor lamp with its understated eye appeal. Thankfully, there's nothing garish here, just quiet charm with a few surprises of its own. Initially, the ease of adjusting the height of the light which can be high, medium or low or anywhere in between, according to your preference, as shown in the photos. Just loosen the side knob and maneuver it into your preferred position. Beyond that well appreciated convenience there's also a pad that will turn the lamp on or off with the touch of a button. Placement of the pad is also at your whim. (see photos) My husband decided he likes it right next to his computer desk, as for me, it was actually purchased for my art studio to reflect on or above my canvas when I'm working, so I prefer it at my feet. Besides, I'm just letting him borrow it for now since we just moved in and my studio has become a mass of unpacked 'stuff'. We're both very impressed with this attractive and versatile lamp. I love that this floor lamp has such a small footprint as we don’t have a ton of space in our nursery! Also, the switch is on the ground which is perfect for middle of the night changing and nursing to just step on while holding baby. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the wire for the switch hangs off the lamp which I think is a poor design, but it’s not awful.

I love this lamp! So beautiful, especially for the price! It’s a unique design and I love that you can adjust the height and direction of the shade. Also love the foot button to turn it on and off! As other reviews have mentioned, the cord is visible, but not an eye sore at all, in my opinion it positively adds to the design! Works perfect in my space while not taking up much visual space in front of our large windows!

This is a handsome floor lamp with a nice metal shade that isn’t too shiny. It’s nice that this light is height adjustable—so many lamps are simply too low to work well with a sofa or chair. What distracts from the style of the lamp is the way the electric cord comes out the bottom of the adjustable bracket and then dangles next to the pole. It would be a five star if the wiring ran inside the tubing of the main pole. Also, note that the set screw on the adjustable bracket simply screw tight against the main pole, and can leave a nick in the pole. That’s not a problem is you set the height and then leave it. If you want to be able to repeatedly adjust the height of the lamp, it would be smart to put a bit of rubber on the end of the set screw so it doesn’t leave marks up and down the main pole.

I like the urban feeling it gives, perfect reading lamp for my living room and you can easily adjust the height. The cord is unnecessarily long and it has a step-on switch, there’s no way to hide the cord while keeping the switch within reach, this lamp is a prefect candidate for a smart light bulb that you can turn on and off on command.

I was looking for a not sooo traditional floor lamp for a transitional family room beside a traditional chair . This lamp Is a nice look. Shade is brushed gold with white interior. It needs a small bulb so that it does extend past the shade. The shade is rather small but works for in this setting. The lamp was easy to put together, adjusts easily in height and angle of shade. Cons: It is a bit wobbly and the cord is quite visible.
