Had them out in the canadian cold at -30° this winter, they still work. They really do seam to be shatter proof. Sturdy cables and connections also. Brigther than you think, it is good they are dimmable. They cast more light downwards which is ideal for a nicely lit floor and table, without ruining the mood in the area.
