Use the Allen key that looks like a wine bottle opener! These chairs are beautiful, sturdy and very comfortable, but they take a few hours to put together. The first chair took me forever to assemble, but I used it as a learning experience. I learned that I could have saved myself a ton of time if I had used the provided allen key with the red top (looks like a wine bottle opener), instead of the conventional one that was also provided. I also learned that I needed help from someone else for a few stages in the process because it saves a lot of time. Things went a lot smoother and faster when I put together the second chair. Overall a great find on this rocking chair. I love the matte black color and the resin material is just a game changer, no worries on scratching and peeling in the future. The quality is excellent. All pieces were well packaged and in perfect condition. You do need to assemble them, but pretty quick and easy to do so. It goes quicker with 2 people. They are comfortable to sit in but I do think a cushion is still required. It is solid once assembled but in the beginning does sort of pop and settle but I think that is due to the resin material and the metal screws adjusting to the movement. Decent chairs. They are attractive and sturdy. It does take some time to put them together, but we managed. The hardest part was taking the stickers off the parts of the chairs.
