This daybed is beautiful but it definitely was kind of challenging to put together. Definitely refer to the pictures on the website so you can actually see how things go. It took us all week to put it together, but I put things together wrong so there was a lot back stepping . The first half went great. It was easy. The rest wasn’t as easy as you can tell in the pictures we have not put the umbrella put together yet because we were so frustrated. We decided to take a stopping point. Definitely are going to put on the umbrella. The mat isn’t very thick. It’s probably about an inch inch and a half but is still a great addition to our backyard. Sorry this is the only picture I had but I have to say I really love this piece of furniture.  I can lay out there enjoy the day, read, watch a movie on my computer or iPad, or just take a quick nap. I’m just gonna say I am 60 years old and I did put this together by myself, however, I would suggest you have two people because it was challenging for just one person, but I was able to do it within 90 minutes to 2 hours..
