My cat took to this immediately, to my pleasant surprise. He's a big cat, so I wanted a sturdy condo/scratching post. This is day one of having it and he has used it all day, sometimes sleeping or sitting on the top and also taking cozy naps in the bottom alcove. The carpet is very plush, good quality.
