The cage was very easy to assemble although the directions were a little hairy if youre used to putting things together which I am its basically common sense very well may my bird hasnt accepted it yet but Im sure hell love it once he gets in it cant wait to get his Transportation cage to see what quality that will be would definitely recommend. I haven’t put it together yet. The ratings show it’s a pain to put together but I currently own this type of cage for the last 20 years and it’s been perfect for two parrots that do not co-habitat well. My current cage was bought at an exotic pets trade show and was already put together. I’m looking forward to owning this cage for another 20+ years. Nice sturdy heavy cage just as discribed but not exactly what I expected. It is pretty but the bars are thicker than our previous cage so it's harder to see the birds. It only has 1 actual access opening so not convient to move things around in the cage. Other 3 openings are for changing food & water out. This is very common for many cages but my birds are not tamed and I do not have a bird room. I love how convenient it is to clean the cage with the pull out grid and the metal tray. Much better than grid inside cage and staticy plastic tray. The cons are some parts are slightly off and the bottom catcher comes apart.
