I wanted a mid-century looking case for my vintage stereo equipment and was very pleased with this cabinet! Some of the reviews mentioned the hardware that holds the glass shelves being flimsy & breaking, but I am guessing they have updated the hardware included because mine came with very thick and sturdy L brackets that screw into the wood. My receiver weighs around 20 pounds and so far the tempered glass shelf is holding up just fine. It looks very elegant and well built, although the metal lattice on the back had some rust when it was painted so the paint is flaky in spots but mine doesn't deter from the overall looks at all (it's mostly at the very top and bottom and you really need to look closely to notice).
