It was just what we needed, but then we moved....... We are still using it in our new place, but boy can I see what a space saver this would have been in her other room. Not that her current room is large or anything. My soon to be 9 year old daughter is enjoying it , but compared to another bunk I bought through wayfair, it is far less sturdy. I tried to jam it hard into a corner to add as much support as possible. My husband and I also double checked all the connections, but you can feel the pressure on the ladder as you climb up to the top. This bothers me a little, but she is still small enough. It might be a bigger issue for a teenager. For me, it is a notable issue, so I'll place this piece at a 4 star. However, overall, the piece does the trick on space saving with a desk included. It’s a super pretty bed and exactly what I wanted but we got a memory foam mattress that comes in a box and since there isn’t enough wood slats that go across, the mattress was falling to the floor through the very large gaps. We purchased 3 white ones over 2 years ago for our second home and all have held up great. They are a true white. Husband assembled all 3 himself easily. 2 Full sizes: 1 trundle and the other 1 with 2 draws storage. Also a Queen with 2 draw storage. Other side of queen is open space. All draws slide easily and hold a lot with high sides. They and the trundle free float. Have used trundle a few times. Can purchase additional draws for other side of Queen if desired. This bed is so adorable. We got it for my 3 year old and it’s over the top girly in the best way. We like this bed frame with the exception of it not holding the mattress in one place. There are these velcro strips that you install on the slats, but they do not catch the mattress well.
