Oh my goodness. I have wanted a globe for so long and all of the ones I come across just look cheap and poorly made. I was a little skeptical of ordering one online (especially since this was my first order from Wayfair), since I couldn't see it in person. I am seriously SO happy I bought this globe though. The colors are lovely; the base is sturdy. The metal globe holder is antiqued and just rounds out the whole thing. The other thing I love is the detail on the globe. The photos of this moon globe made it look almost metallic. It is not metallic. The base is clear plastic and the globe is not attached to the base at all. The globe itself is very light weight.
