It is weather resistant, durable and lights up the deck at night with a warm glow. Installation takes a 3-inch diameter pole and was easy to attach the light to it. The light on low is quite bright and maybe even too bright for our space on high. The accompanying pole is also heavy and high quality (including the hardware and requires mounting in cement or through concrete. The light does come with wall mounting hardware if you choose not to use the pole. I've had no problem with the light charging during the day in a place that doesn't get full sunlight.
