The medium-sized CHUTOH from Miyabi is ideal when you need to slice or cut meat or fish. The thin, stable 16 cm-long blade ensures that you have full control when working: precise working is simple with this knife. This is why it has convinced professional chefs from around the world. The core of the blade consists of Micro Carbide powder steel MC63, surrounded by 100 layers of two different hardness of steel. The CRYODUR blade also undergoes a special ice-hardening process at -196 degrees Celsius giving it a hardness of around 63 Rockwell. The Honbazuke honing is responsible for its extremely scalpel-like sharpness. This sharpness is achieved by sharpening it twice between rotating stones and subsequently polishing it on a leather wheel. The handle has a traditional D-shape, as is usual with Japanese knives. It is comfortable to hold and is a real eye-catching utensil, thanks to its Masur birch handle. Its gentle graining stands out from the floral Damask pattern of the blade and presents a sophisticated contrast. Recesses in the stainless steel and fine red lines create stylish decorative elements. The CHUTOH from the MIYABI 5000MCD series stands out on account of its extreme sharpness.

The 3" Ulu Stainless Steel Specialty Knife has been part of Eskimo life for almost 5,000 years. Early Eskimo versions had blades that were hand-crafted from polished slate with carved bone or ivory handles. New versions of the popular knife feature stainless steel blades and wood handles. This knife is more effective at cutting, chopping, and mincing because of its curved blade and because it places pressure directly over the blade rather than just at the end of a traditionally handled knife blade.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This knife was a replacement for a cheap chef's knife I had owned for several years. I always have a moment of panic when using a knife that is brand new to my hand whether or not the task is easy or hard. I need time to acclomate to the curve in my hand and usually have to chop, dice, mince and cut much slower than normal making cooking a nuisance rather than a pleasure. I was off and running right after opening. I gave it a test to see how sharp it was before using my knife sharpener. I was very happy with the sharpness and even more impressed after sharpening. I was making a large meal with lots of prep work and it was a breeze. I cook 7 days a week so having a great knife in the kitchen is very important to me. I have varying price points on my knives which I choose to describe as orphans as they are all different brands. This one can hang with the more expensive brands and it looks as nice as well. This is my favorite size of nice to use. It just gets everything done and quickly. Looking forward to making many more meals in the future.. Tuffcookie. TX. Tue Oct 22 2019

The knife is a Christmas gift. It looks great! Our flag pole however does not stay up. When it is as tight as we can get it. The wind somehow turns the pole and the telescopic pole comes down. In our kitchen, time is marked by either before scissors or after scissors. And at this point, the time before we were using scissors in our kitchen (to cut carrots, cheeses, bacon, chicken, hard-boiled eggs, and pretty much anything else) feels downright prehistoric. We don’t know where we would be without them. Of course, we have kitchen knives. But sometimes a knife just feels like so...much. Scissors are spare. Scissors are satisfying. It’s oddly calming to slowly slice away at a stalk of celery one simple snip at a time. But don’t take our word for it. Try out for yourself these scissors in classic blue, with two pairs for double the fun.

I love these scissors; they are the best!. Anonymous. Oneonta, NY. Tue Oct 01 2024

All lovers of crispy roast duck or delicious fried chicken will love the Twin select poultry shears. Because it makes it easy to portion poultry of all kinds. The well-thought-out design of the poultry shears starts with the ergonomic handle, which allows you to safely use the shears without tiring your hand. The shears provide an ideal leverage effect and a good transmission of power. Thanks to the bone crusher and serrated blade, you can cut meat, tendons, and even bones easily and cleanly. The serration prevents the food from slipping, which makes work even easier. With a short, powerful squeeze, you can cut quickly and cleanly. This is especially helpful if you use the shears for portioning and serving. In the case of the twin select poultry shears, the spring is on the inside for the first time. This prevents it from jumping out. And if you no longer need the shears, they can easily be taken apart and cleaned by the detaching mechanism.
