It’s really happy with this portable air conditioner. My condo is kind of old and the air-conditioning isn’t proper upstairs so I bought two of these units for each bedroom. One was a little more expensive of a model and I believe a newer model. This one’s heavier less expensive but works better than the other one. That’s not as heavy. It cooled faster. Nice AC unit takes a while to shut off the remote had some issues in the beginning, but I think now it’s starting to work a little tough to synchronize with the remote and the AC unit but otherwise good deal for 189. The unit is heavy. Remove the plastic and nylon straps immediately upon delivery and lift the box off. It has to sit upright, outside the box for 24 hrs to protect the compressor. I used the time to read the manual set up the window exhaust and drain. The drain is at the of the unit. Whether you run the drain line out a window, into an existing drain, or into a bucket, the line must be installed below the unit. I had a sturdy end table to put it on. Fixed the exhaust through a window and set a 5 gallon bucket under the table for the drain line because I didn’t want to put a hole in my window screen. I powered it on and the lid popped open and immediately started blowing cool air in my face! I love it! Great when the central air goes out or to further cool areas far from the central AC unit..
