This is excellent and nearly perfect for what I need it to do. Before you read on, you can just stop right here if you are not expecting to use it like a woke. Here's why this is now my workhorse in the kitchen. 1. in the new apartment, I no longer have a high powered gas stove, a traditional wok is not useless. This thing is almost as light as a hand hammered iron wok. 2. it's thin enough that heats up fast to stir fry 3. it does not retain heat nearly as much as my hexclad...which is key to woking.....heats up fast and cools down fast 4. it has more raised steel parts than hexclad, it provide better, faster heating, and frankly better flavor (yes, it will stick much more....but this is a wok, if you are sticking with a wok, you are probably not using it right) 5. it comes with a very nice lid with I use may be 20% of the time. Nice large wok, Great to cook with. Love the nonstick material. And i actually was looking for and love the 2 short handles instead of 1 short and 1 long pan handle which seems standard for such larger cookware. However, the way the short handles are mounted onto the metal attachments, one needs to be careful when grabbing the hot wok as the metal attachment sites are too close to the middle of the wooden dowls and you could burn yourself by accident. I am so impressed with this Lexi Home modern kitchen basics 5 quart non stick stainless steel wok with lid! It arrived quickly and is made of high quality durable material. It has a nice weight that isn’t too heavy for use. I love the unique non stick interior and the smooth bottom surface that doesn’t scratch my stove top. I'm delighted with my new stockpot set, (having waited to the age of 55 to own such a luxury, I researched for a few weeks before deciding on BergHOFF Dina) We had a neighborhood soup party and I also found them perfect for making demi glaze. I love that the diameter fits on each burner without extending over neighboring burners so that every spot on the stovetop can be utilized. Great even cooking...no hot spots, even when soups remain over flame for 12+ hours.....demi glaze, more than 24 hours.......AND they look beautiful. Please consider making a 15-16 quart. This wok is exactly what I needed and getting as an “open box” item made it possible for my budget. We eat a lot of stir fried vegetables and I needed a wok that works on an induction range. This heavy duty, very large wok has an extra handle opposite the regular one, making lifting it from the stove easy. Its non-stick surface works well. I believe one could put it into the dishwasher but it is simple to wash since nothing sticks and it’s really too large to fit.
