Excellent duck coop. Easy to set up with my grand childrens assistance. I added more layers of poultry wire and hardware cloth to the sides and top make break-ins more difficult. Also hardware cloth used as ground floor and apron covered with sod and then pine shavings. Placed the heavy duty XL anti-diggers around the perimeter. We have not had any intrusions in this set-up.. Great starter coop! We ended up stapling chicken wire around the entire outside for extra protection and also added a second latch to the bottom of the door. I plan on redoing the latches on the roosting boxes as they aren’t the strongest and predators “could” get in or my chickens could get out. We did have missing pieces to 4 of the latches and had to go buy some. Our Pawhut chicken pen is a medium size chicken coop made of fully treated and grooved wood. The duck coop is coated with water based preservative. Coming with a two section nesting box for egg laying. This bunny hutch can be widely opened and closed to make a controlled-environment rabbit cage. This chicken coop is well designed with a Living House, a two section Nesting Box and a Backyard Run.

We were tickled to receive our 1st coop which arrived in 4 days & in 2 boxes. Directions for assembly could have been better but we figured it it w/o much difficulty. Since the wood is fairly soft (fir) we recommend waxing the screws before drilling them in and on a slower speed as well. No cracking of the wood that way. It seems smaller than the picture so we are only allowing for 3-4 hens and will build a run around the coop but I am sure all will be happy. Cage was exactly what I expected. We put a nesting box in for our broody chicken and her eggs. I think it will be perfect for when this weekend when chicks are born and they need to go outside. The flock will be able to see them and get use to them. I've never done this before so it will be interesting. The cage went together easily and when our hen is done we are planning on using it to plant clover and let it grow so hens can't eat it before its fully grown. When we're ready we can easily pick it up and move it to start something else to grown that they can't get into until we are ready. The product does not look like the photo. The one ramp broke while we was trying to put it together. The pegs on the roof don’t match up with the holes. I bought this as a starter coop and I’m in love with it. The directions weren’t as detailed as I’d like. It’s not high quality at all but it’s fine for what I need. It’s also two identical coops so you do have to swap the sides of some boards if you want them both front facing but it was simple to do.
